Clarinda Regional Health Center is looking for a Part-Time or Full-Time Licensed Esthetician to work in our Med Spa department! Operating hours are Tuesday
- Friday from 8:00am - 6:00pm. Schedules may vary.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Licensed Esthetician provides professional esthetic services that support skin health, wellness, and client satisfaction while prioritizing Safety and Quality in every aspect of care. Services are performed within the individual's scope of practice, training, competency, CRHC policies, and established Glow Medical Spa protocols.

The Licensed Esthetician assesses client needs, provides education and appropriate esthetic services, maintains accurate documentation, and collaborates with the medical spa team to promote a safe, coordinated client experience. The position supports the organization's commitment to Advancing Exceptional Care.

Requirements QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
  • Graduate of an esthetics program that meets State of Iowa licensure requirements.
  • Previous experience in a medical spa, dermatology, plastic surgery, wellness, or esthetic setting is preferred.
Certificates, Licensure, Registrations
  • Current license to practice esthetics in the State of Iowa.
  • Maintain required continuing education, training, and competency for services performed.

WORK SCHEDULE & SHIFT REQUIREMENTS

The facility operates Tuesday
- Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm; however, work schedules may vary based on departmental needs to ensure the highest standard of client care and operational efficiency. Flexibility will be expected.

  • Position is classified as non-exempt and eligible for overtime in accordance with labor laws.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position involves a combination of physical activities necessary to perform essential job functions effectively. The employee should be able to:

  • Sit, stand, and walk for varying lengths of time throughout the workday.
  • Lift, push, pull, or carry light to moderate loads, with assistance available for heavier items.
  • Use fine motor skills, including grasping, reaching, and handling equipment or materials as needed.
  • Perform routine movements, such as typing, writing, preparing treatment areas, or handling supplies.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch occasionally for job-related tasks.
  • See and hear well enough to read documents, operate equipment, assess clients, and communicate effectively.
  • Work in a dynamic environment, adapting to occasional changes in pace or setting.

  • Conduct appropriate skin assessments and review client goals, history, allergies, medications, contraindications, and prior treatments before services.
  • Provide services such as facials, Hydra Facial treatments, superficial chemical peels, and other approved esthetic treatments permitted by licensure and organizational policy.
  • Modify or discontinue services when contraindications, adverse responses, or client concerns are identified.
