Medical Secretary Radiology

Facilitates the scheduling process for Radiology. Obtains essential information for scheduling. While maintaining confidentiality provides customer service to patients, care providers and others through effective, timely communication such as telephone triage, email and written correspondence. Performs other scheduling duties as requested and on-going support for maintaining and appropriately releasing Radiology health records.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Basic computer knowledge preferred.

Previous experience in a diagnostic imaging department preferred.

Scheduling experience preferred.

Ability to use web-based and computer applications; such as EPIC preferred.

Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment with continual interruptions.

Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills and phone etiquette.

Ability to relate effectively to a variety of patients in a professional and courteous manner.
