Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with planned menus.
• Prepare food for therapeutic diets and/or in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders.
• Assure that food and supplies for the next meal are readily available.
• Assist in inventorying and storing food, supplies, etc., as necessary.

Requirements/

Qualifications:

• Be able to read, write and speak the English language in a manner that is understandable.
• Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• One-year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical facility preferred, but not required.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.
• Able to sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during working hours.

Education

• High School Diploma/GED

Experience

• Entry Level (0-2 years)
