Part Time Caregiver

Location:

Maquoketa, IA and surrounding areas. Pay: $14.00-$16.00/hour. Must have valid Driver's License.

Visiting Angels of Bettendorf is hiring a Part Time Caregiver for clients throughout the Quad Cities area, including Maquoketa, Davenport, Bettendorf, Muscatine, and other nearby communities. The role involves helping senior adults stay at home or recover at home with dignity and flexibility for growth and meaningful work in the community.

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene
• Manage light housekeeping
• Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals
• Prompt clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
• Assist with shopping and meal planning when appropriate
• Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)
• Assist clients with mobility and ambulation, including trips to doctors and walks

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent time-management skills
• Reliable transportation to client visits
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response
• A heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship
• Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
