Position OverviewAssistant Executive Housekeeper (AEH) is a second level manager responsible for the site housekeeping operations, ensuring quality standards and timeliness goals are met. The AEH manages all operations in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper and assists the EH in meeting the site budget and maintaining relationships with clients and associates.
Responsibilities- Create and post schedules by 5:00 PM every Thursday; assign daily tasks and work to housekeepers, house persons, and supervisors.
- Adjust work assignments based on needs and callouts; monitor daily work hours for budget compliance.
- Follow directives of the site leader and exemplify urgency to ensure all units are turned on time.
- Inspect rooms and common areas for cleanliness; instruct housekeepers to re-clean as needed.
- Conduct weekly report cards for housekeeping staff and MSI reports of Supervisors.
- Contribute to a welcoming culture of engagement and inclusion.
- Provide timely responses to associate concerns, addressing them directly or referring to others.
- Ongoing performance feedback to Housekeepers, Housemen, and Supervisors.
- Enforce policies and procedures consistently.
- Coaching housekeepers to meet productivity standards.
- Assist in performance management, coaching, counseling, discipline, and termination when necessary.
- Conduct performance reviews.
- Set recurring schedule for Master Talk and STS per SOPs and facilitate sessions with staff.
- Conduct weekly training meetings with supervisors and monthly meetings with all staff; finalize the day in Mastermind system.
- Interview, select, and onboard new team members; perform new hire orientations, ensuring 7‑Steps to Clean training is delivered within guidelines.
- Build positive rapport with resort management; attend resort meetings.
- Manage inventory, conduct weekly counts, order replenishments; report maintenance issues.
- Maintain vehicle logs; assist in solving guest complaints promptly.
- Conduct safety meetings; ensure staff follows day‑to‑day safety rules and procedures.
- Handle workers compensation issues and reporting.
- Work irregular hours; comply with Resort Operations 15 Non‑negotiables.
- Use Master Mind Mobile to update room status for all Housekeepers and Supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Two years of experience directly related to the job with progressive responsibility.
- Proven track record of driving strong performance and key field operations metrics.
- Effective written and verbal English communication; bilingual Spanish a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license required for certain locations.
- Comfortable with an average of 5% travel quarterly.
This position frequently requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, moving, lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, reaching, occasional ascending/descending, and repetitive motions. Employees must be able to perform essential functions.
Salary$45,000.00 – $56,250.00 (based on skills, qualifications, and experience).
