Summary Statement
The Kitchen Worker is responsible for maintaining the resort kitchens. This position will clean and sanitize the kitchen equipment, dining ware, and food preparation areas, as well as dispose of waste.
PrimaryJob Duties
- Ensures all dining ware, kitchen equipment, kitchen surfaces, and floors are clean and sanitized throughout the outlet.
- Responsible for breaking down the china, glass, silver and Queen Mary's during and after event, sorting and cleaning all dishes, silverware, glasses, utensils, and ashtrays.
- Responsible for transporting food from Banquet Kitchen, Pastry and Garde Manger to Banquet room, transporting dirty dishes from event areas back to cleanup kitchen area.
- Assist with dish‑up during setup, service, and teardown, and any other duties as determined by the Director of Catering or Stewarding Management.
- Empty, wash, and return waste receptacles throughout outlet.
- Break down and organize cardboard boxes for recycling.
- Operate mechanical vehicles for transporting large bins of product under strict safety guidelines.
- Keep wash area and mop closets clean and organized.
- Assist with any special cleaning projects, as assigned.
- Adhere to safe handling, usage, and storage requirements of all chemicals and notify manager on duty when items need to be replenished.
- Participate in pre‑shift meetings.
- Address any major odors and safety issues, as it relates to broken glassware and spills, in a prompt manner.
- Take corrective action and notify management of any issues with the facility, equipment, or safety hazards.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized and safe working environment in all food and beverage areas.
- Maintain the proper operation of cleaning equipment/dish machines daily.
- Adhere to Resorts World company guidelines as stated in team member training manual and handbook.
- Obtain and maintain position‑specific licensing.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- At least 18 years of age.
Preferred:
Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets. Previous experience in a high‑volume establishment. Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
At least six months of experience in Stewarding or in a similar heavy‑duty cleaning field.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Position required licenses:
Food Handler Card.

- Ability to use hands in using office equipment, including the computer system.

- Transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Eye/hand coordination.
