Senior Information Systems; IS Analyst

Overview

Nevada County is nestled in California’s Sierra Nevada foothills, about an hour outside Sacramento and two hours from the San Francisco Bay Area. • Coordinate the enterprise IT training program.
• Participate in the Business Relationship Management (BRM) team.
• Monitor and report on key metrics.
• Lead the Desktop Services Team, implementing and overseeing training and support programs that enhance County employee use and proficiency in technology systems.
• Assume project manager duties to support the IS team.

The Senior Information System Analyst participates in direction‑setting and strategic visioning, identifies quality issues, and recommends resolutions. The role involves strong interaction with the department to review feedback from various teams and to develop objectives and goals that enhance customers’ experience. A servant‑leadership attitude and alignment with core values are expected.

• Staff supervision and leadership experience.
• Experience with IT Service Management (ITIL).
• Program administration experience.
• Project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in computer science, information technology, business administration, geographic information systems, geography, or a closely related field.
• Three years of experience at a level comparable to Nevada County Information Systems Analyst II or Geographic Systems Analyst II (additional experience may substitute for education on a year‑for‑year basis up to two years).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
