IT Support Technician
Location:
Osceola, IA / Creston, IA.
Schedule:
Field-based role: approximately 3 days/week onsite in Osceola and 2 days/week supporting a secondary regional location within a 35-mile radius.
Salary: $45,000–$50,000 annually.
Position OverviewWe are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide hands‑on technical support for hardware, software, and technology systems across multiple locations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, supporting end users, and working independently while also collaborating with a broader technology team. The technician will assist with device setup, maintenance, installations, upgrades, and day‑to‑day technical support for staff and clients.
This position includes a combination of onsite support in Creston and travel to nearby sites.
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and related technology equipment
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and applications
- Set up new equipment and assist with technology deployments
- Support audio/visual equipment and conference technology as needed
- Document service requests, resolutions, and inventory records
- Assist users with technology‑related questions and training
- Participate in technology projects, initiatives, and ongoing improvements
- Support events, meetings, and other organizational technology needs
- Associate degree in Computer Technology, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- OR equivalent combination of education and technical support experience
- Experience supporting Windows‑based computer environments and common peripherals
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites
- A+ Certification preferred or willingness to obtain within the first year
- Desktop support or help desk experience
- Hardware/software installation and maintenance
- Audio/visual or conference room technology support
- Experience supporting multiple locations or field users
