As a Lead Test Engineer, you'll lead quality engineering across complex technology initiatives, providing risk-based assurance that solutions are functional, secure, resilient and fit for purpose. You'll shape test strategy, drive automation, mentor engineers and influence how quality is embedded across Technology & Change.

• Lead risk-based testing across Salesforce, Mule Soft and enterprise data initiatives
• Drive automation using Copado Robotic Testing and CI/CD integration
• Define quality gates, release readiness and defect-management approaches
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, analysts and product teams
• Mentor and develop Test Engineers across the practice
• Champion continuous improvement and quality engineering standards

Technology & Change is a strategic priority for Vanquis. We've modernised core platforms and invested significantly in technology capabilities. This role sits at the heart of that journey, helping ensure technology solutions are delivered safely, securely and to high-quality standards.

You’ll work closely with Architecture, Product, Engineering, Delivery, Operations and Business stakeholders, ensuring quality is built into every stage of the software delivery lifecycle.

Testing starts early and quality is everyone's responsibility.

Repetitive and high-value tests should be automated wherever possible.

• Git and version control

• Extensive quality engineering and test leadership experience within complex enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of test strategy, planning, execution, defect management and release assurance
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, ideally Copado Robotic Testing
• Experience testing Salesforce platforms, integrations and enterprise applications
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working within regulated environments with strong governance and audit requirements

• Salesforce certifications
• Mule Soft certifications or practical experience
• Experience with in financial services, fintech or banking environments
• Knowledge of service virtualisation and continuous testing practices
