Supply Chain Internship

Location: Holstein

Essential Job Functions:

Support corporate departments to fulfil the procurement needs and requirements for corporate or company wide projects and activities Help develop objectives and strategies for indirect services and materials to ensure customer satisfaction at the best cost for the company Interact with Department Managers to discuss and understand their needs – verifies nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests Assist in the preparation of the procurement business plan, strategies, and support action plans to achieve objectives Prepare reports, analyze its own metrics, and prepare action plans for improvements Analyze and monitor spend to look for sourcing and negotiation opportunities Troubleshoot purchasing and other supply chain related issues and discrepancies Other duties as assigned by the manager

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

Majoring in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, Analytics, or related field Entering Junior or Senior year Strong organizational skills Excellent communication (verbal and written) Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Able to analyze and evaluate data Respectful of employees, vendors and customers All team members are expected to follow the Code of Conduct to the highest standards as well as to adhere to the Attendance Policy of VT Industries.

Physical Requirements Tolerance for sitting long periods of time. Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator. Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal. Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional light lifting (25 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required. Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.
