What to Expect

The ideal candidate has experience with facilities operations, heavy equipment operation, and site maintenance.

• Champion and observe all safety policies
• Support grading, minor pothole repairs, winter weather response, dust control, road sweeping, and general site clean up
• Recommend improvement projects for gravel areas, winter weather, dust control and road sweeping
• Complete training in the use of heavy equipment and site maintenance
• Complete preventative site maintenance of equipment
• Able to respond to factory off hours during inclement weather or any other deemed emergency
• Work directly with Facilities Ground Lead to understand scope and execution of work detail

• Experience in groundskeeping, heavy equipment operation, vehicle maintenance, and familiarity with schematics and site plans
• Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and ability to adapt to varying work schedules and fast‑paced environments
• Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and flexibility, while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
• Multitasking ability, adaptability to change, and wearing required PPE for tasks involving hazardous areas and chemicals
• Physical capability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, lift up 20 lbs., and work in loud environments; discern audible alarms
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license, with expertise in operating various heavy, medium, and light equipment and street‑related specialized equipment, including training others
• Availability for on‑call after‑hours work, displaying knowledge of general maintenance, construction, tools, and equipment
