Plant Ops Supervisor - PRN

Mitchell County Regional Health Center (MCRHC) is a 25‑bed critical access hospital located in Osage, Iowa. With a Level 4 Trauma Center emergency department serving 3,200 visits annually and a surgical services department performing over 1,300 procedures each year, MCRHC is a well‑established healthcare provider in Mitchell County.

This position supports the plant operations department as a PRN technician. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repair, and service of all PHO and departmental general equipment, electrical equipment, mechanical and plumbing systems, and involvement in departmental moves. The role performs a variety of tasks across the PHO facilities during scheduled and unscheduled work periods.

Type: PRN, as needed
Shift: Monday through Saturday, 5 am to 5 pm (hours may vary)

• Education:
  • High School graduate (college education desired)
• Experience:
  • Minor mechanical or technical experience desirable
  • Boiler and HVAC experience
  • Plumbing, heating, electrical, and refrigeration experience
  • Previous experience in hospital plant operations preferred
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
• Special Skills & Aptitudes:
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to supervise PLT‑OPS staff and communicate with Director or Administration
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems
  • Proficiency in interpreting drawings, blueprints, details and specifications
  • Flexibility to adjust schedule and take call as needed
  • Flexibility with tasks
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles
  • Good communication with all PHO staff
