Maintenance Worker, Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Full-Time, Non-Exempt | Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor

Life Skills Connection, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Worker to help keep our facilities safe, well-maintained, and running smoothly. You'll work side by side with our Maintenance Supervisor to make sure repairs and day-to-day operations get done right and on time — this is a hands-on role with real ownership, not a job where you're left to figure it out alone.

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department
• Evaluate and periodically inspect systems and facilities to identify maintenance and repairs that need to be performed
• Perform maintenance at Life Skills facilities as assigned, and operate and maintain Life Skills equipment
• Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner, in line with quality standards and health and safety regulations
• Help coordinate scheduled maintenance audits of equipment and assist in developing maintenance procedures and schedules
• Help maintain files of warranties, records, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for our equipment
• Partner with the Supervisor and your teammates — maintenance here is a team sport

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least five years of maintenance experience, with solid knowledge of maintenance and equipment procedures
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize your work
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A reliable, high-energy approach, and the ownership mindset to drive activities through to completion
