Safety Manager

Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to partner with plant leadership to promote a proactive safety culture by identifying and eliminating hazards before incidents occur. The Safety Manager is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of policies and programs that comply with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.

• Lead the review, revision, and continuous improvement of existing safety programs, as well as the implementation of new programs, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Partner with operations and other plant functions to evaluate current work practices and recommend changes to reduce risk and improve safety performance.
• Provide leadership for the plant’s incident reporting and investigation processes, including root cause analysis, assignment of corrective actions, and tracking actions to closure to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and deliver monthly safety training for all associates. Review and update the site training program as needed to improve effectiveness and maintain regulatory compliance.
