SUMMARY
Concrete Technologies, Inc. (CTI) is looking for a Logistics Manager that will be responsible for executing a daily plan for aggregate transportation, wet batching, and lowboy hauling. This individual will independently coordinate and schedule a fleet of CMV drivers, manage work orders, and coordinate with customers. They will act as the central hub between construction divisions and clients and coordinate distribution activities across all CTI plant locations.
The Logistics Manager will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and always represent the company in a friendly and professional manner.
- Coordinate and schedule fleet of drivers according to customer requests, in compliance with company rules, federal and state laws, and DOT regulations, to maximize operational performance and customer satisfaction.
- Plan, assign, and distribute daily work assignment. Develop daily delivery plans utilizing equipment, manpower, and other resources to achieve an effective and efficient operation, maximizing utilization of the fleet while meeting KPI and budgetary expectations.
- Coach, counsel, and manage drivers in such areas as performance, attendance, safety, productivity, and morale.
- Serve as the first point of contact for service requests.
- Prepare and maintain accurate dispatch logs and records, ensuring all service requests are documented effectively, and perform other administrative functions and paperwork (e.g. billing, time-capturing and approval, etc.).
- Ensure all pre/post-trip inspections are accurately completed and properly stored.
- Answer external and internal customer inquiries while providing clear verbal and/or written communication and maintaining good client relations.
- Identify and resolve delivery and scheduling problems through timely communication with customers, drivers, vendors, and other CTI personnel.
- Partner with Service Shop Manager to determine and schedule service repairs that need to be outsourced.
- Prospect, cold-call, and network to grow our book of business, including procurement of other trucking.
- Dispatch of Lowboy and procurement of respective permits.
- Truck camera monitoring and management of telematics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as HR, Safety, and Operations to identify solutions to daily business challenges.
- Follow and strictly enforce all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate safety equipment and using excellent safety practices, while visiting job sites per CTI policies, OSHA, and Federal and State laws and regulations.
- Other job-related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
- 5+ years' experience in relevant operations required.
- 3+ years' leadership/management experience required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment and CMV operations.
- IDOT Aggregate certifications, preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient mathematic skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer relations management experience.
- Professional, friendly, posses a positive attitude, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Flexible and adaptable to market fluctuations and construction environmental changes.
- Valid driver license and insurable Motor Vehicle Record required. CDL preferred.
- Must pass post conditional offer of employment physical.
