Overview

Acts as project manager on behalf of Paychex and the client for all areas of implementation utilizing project management principles for Paychex clients. Partners with sales teams to craft solutions for prospective clients during the sales process. The Project Manager identifies client expectations and priorities and communicates with internal partners to lead onboarding efforts, managing cross-product set up, directing team tasks, and creating and implementing client objectives and initiatives.

Prepares timeline for implementations and ensures completion of key tasks by internal stakeholders necessary to adhere to those timelines. Identifies potential risks for the client and for Paychex and leverages support teams to mitigate these risks.

Responsibilities
  • Manages client implementation projects through application of comprehensive project management concepts that include leading and coordinating teams/resources, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, engaging the client and stakeholders, creating and monitoring deliverables, and reporting on obstacles to ensure successful client implementation.
  • Acts as primary contact for the client during the implementation process to resolve issues, answer questions and ensure expectations and deadlines are met.
  • Determines client product needs to ensure client expectations are properly set.
  • Establishes and maintains partnerships with Sales Manager and Sales Representatives to ensure that all new and current client needs are assessed and met.
  • Creates and manages a customized implementation timeline including all tasks to be completed, then manages communications and meetings with all stakeholders to ensure a successful client launch.
  • Manages communications and meetings with internal team members to ensure tasks are being completed and deadlines met.
  • Manages changes in project scope, identifies potential risks, and devises contingency plans to ensure client needs are being met.
  • Works closely with Implementation team and Sales to provide outstanding support and product implementation to clients.
  • Provides regular status updates to Implementation Supervisor/Manager and Sales to ensure all necessary tasks are being completed.
  • Ensures all end-user documentation is complete and delivered to client, allowing client to effectively utilize product(s).
  • Performs a professional and thorough transition of the client to the Ongoing Support Team to finalize implementation phase.
  • Makes recommendations regarding needs analysis and process improvements for implementation team.
  • May provide or oversee client training to ensure client expectations are met.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications - Preferred
  • 1 year of experience in Implementation Coordination experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Supervisor or Team Lead.
  • 1 year of experience in Relationship Manager.
  • 1 year of experience in Sales Rep in HRIS Products or Payroll.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $49,000.00 - $77,000.00 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
