Facilities Maintenance Manager, Licensed Master Plumber

Position Summary

Facilities Maintenance Manager, Licensed Master Plumber for Walmart. Responsible for overseeing predictive and preventative maintenance of Walmart facilities within a regional area, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring buildings operate efficiently and sustainably while maintaining a safe environment for associates and customers.

• Lead a team of dedicated technicians and coordinate day‑to‑day maintenance operations.
• Oversee predictive and preventative maintenance of facilities across a regional area.
• Work directly with Store Managers and Facility Services Leadership to meet facility service needs.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors and maintain up‑to‑date contractor licenses.
• Obtain permits, schedule inspections, and ensure compliance with mechanical and building codes.
• Participate in training programs to maintain familiarity with regulatory requirements.
• Provide reporting and analytics on maintenance performance.
• Maintain Mechanical Contractor Licenses in each state of employment.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time within the region.

• Licensed Master Plumber with 5+ years of experience in facilities management, construction management, electrical maintenance, engineering, or related area.
• Or 3+ years of experience in these areas with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Master Electrician License or equivalent in the state of employment.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• PMP Certification.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and customer‑service skills.

• Experience leading cross‑functional teams in building controls or related area.
• External maintenance supervisory experience in optical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments.
• Type I and Type II EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
