Overview
The Pearl at Watkins is seeking a Business Office Manager to join their team. The Business Office Manager reports directly to the Executive Director.
PurposeSupports community operations by maintaining office systems and administrative staff. Responsible for associate recognition and engagement, performance management and evaluations. Responsible for financial management and systems related business processes such as payroll & HR administration and information monitoring/process and systems financial systems close and management business processes – key controls technical/professional knowledge of quality assurance.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain office services by organizing operations, preparing payroll, controlling correspondence, implementing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
- Provide historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
- Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
- Implement office policies by establishing standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and making necessary adjustments.
- Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintain office staff by managing recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of associates.
- Maintain administrative staff job results by coaching, counseling, disciplining associates; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
- Achieve financial objectives by implementing budget, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- 1 year related experience, associate/bachelor degree preferred.
- Knowledge in supply management, informing others, tracking/analyzing budget expenses, delegation, staffing, managing processes, multitasking.
- Supervision, developing standards, promoting process improvement, inventory control, reporting skills.
In an 8‑hour workday, the associate may stand/walk 0–2 hours at a time, total 4–6 hours per day; sit 0–4 hours at a time, total 4–6 hours per day; and drive 30–60 minutes, 1–2 times a week.
Maximum weight lifting: 50 lbs frequently, 150 lbs occasionally. Carrying up to 40 lbs frequently, 70 lbs occasionally. Lift height: 3–4 feet. Carry distance: 30 yards.
Hand use for repetitive tasks such as simple grasping, pushing, pulling, fine manipulation. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, and reach 3 feet occasionally.
