Job SummaryThe Accounting Manager will lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, oversee the month‑end close process, and partner with operations, board members, auditors, and senior management to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals, including performance reviews, training, and team‑building initiatives.
- Oversee the month‑end close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to tight deadlines.
- Direct and continuously enhance HOA accounting processes, driving efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Partner with peer managers to ensure consistency and alignment across the department.
- Prepare and deliver financial reporting and analysis to internal stakeholders, including Corporate Accounting and senior leadership.
- Support system conversions and ongoing general ledger (GL) operations.
- Participate in and lead special projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Coordinate and consolidate information for external HOA audits.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Operate with a high level of autonomy while proactively keeping leadership informed of key developments and risks.
- Influence both property‑level (resort) and corporate‑level financial operations and decision‑making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within timeshare or property management accounting.
- 2+ years of management experience, or equivalent internal experience within Travel + Leisure Co.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Results‑driven with initiative and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and train team members.
