SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and driven construction professional to lead and oversee the base build, core and shell construction of large-scale data center facilities. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all phases of construction activity, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This position requires a strategic thinker with deep technical knowledge and the ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities- Manage and direct base build, core and shell construction activities for data center facilities from inception through completion
- Coordinate projects by making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities
- Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients and senior stakeholders
- Recruit, assign, direct, and evaluate employees while overseeing the development and maintenance of staff competence
- Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of construction projects
- Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures
- Review, recommend, and approve contracts and cost estimates to ensure financial accountability
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance across all construction sites
- 10+ years of construction management experience required, specifically in data center or commercial construction
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, complex construction projects from ground-up through completion
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on schedule and within budget
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field required
- PMI or PMP certification preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal abilities
- Proven construction knowledge including base build and core and shell methodologies
- Comprehensive project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple work streams simultaneously
- In-depth safety knowledge and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and cost management techniques
- Knowledge of business and management principles including strategic planning and resource allocation
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities
