Basic Function

This role focuses on logistics and material handling to support the Nevada plant. The plant utilizes crop residues and corn as inputs to produce a soil conditioner and renewable natural gas (methane). Responsibilities include safe machine operation of trucks, light maintenance, preventative checks of motor equipment, and general facility and housekeeping tasks at the plant and the North property. The role ensures all plant areas are clean, safe, and well organized to support efficient production operations.

Responsibilities
  • Transport feedstock, soil conditioners, and other materials using a variety of trailer types (flatbeds, belt trailers, tankers, etc.).
  • Meet scheduling needs to provide safe and efficient movement of equipment and feedstock.
  • Conduct daily preventative maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment.
  • Enter work order requests in E‑Maintenance.
  • Complete and submit required paperwork in a timely manner while verifying accuracy.
  • Maintain, document, and adhere to established procedures and policies.
  • Comply with all DOT, OSHA and company safety programs and policies.
  • Loading and unloading of product from vehicles and trailers.
  • Secure cargo and properly arrange and balance it within the vehicle.
  • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspection reports.
  • Pump and clean containments.
  • Housekeeping duties: cleaning and removal of corn, humus and particle dust in plant buildings; maintain cleanliness and organization in all plant areas, including production units, shared areas, and storage spaces.
  • Assist in cleaning production units as directed, ensuring all equipment and surfaces are free of debris and contaminants.
  • Dispose of waste materials per plant policies and environmental regulations.
  • Perform common cleaning activities (Milling building, Dryer yard, cyclones, wet cake pad, drums/totes, triple rinsing/labeling/capping/inventory for disposal).
  • Clean based on housekeeping assessments and self‑led inspections.
  • Perform routine inspections of plant areas to identify and address housekeeping issues promptly.
  • Operate cleaning equipment including the industrial vacuum and use cleaning supplies safely.
  • Report maintenance or repair needs to the proper personnel.
  • Inclement weather coverage: distribute salt and sand; clean snow/ice‑covered surfaces.
  • Mow/groundskeep the North property and plant.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications & Licenses:
    Valid Class A CDL (must possess) or ability to obtain and maintain;
    Valid DOT Physical or ability to obtain and maintain.
  • Experience:

    One (1+) year of relevant CDL experience and/or training.
  • Additional Knowledge:
    Basic mechanical and hydraulic systems understanding for preventative maintenance and repairs;
    Ability to perform pre‑trip inspections checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle.
  • Work Environment:
    Ability to work under adverse conditions (dust, extreme heat/cold, wind, rain, ice, snow), frequently stand or walk extended periods, lift/carry up to 50 pounds, use telephone for communication, promote safety and a safe work environment.
