  • Check with designated lead person on machine assignment and job assignment.
  • Discuss with current saw operator from preceding shift about the machines’ performance and any possible difficulties encountered during the course of the shift.
  • Set‑up saw equipment in accordance with specified set-up procedures and within acceptable set-up requirements.
  • Conduct and document a first‑piece inspection and obtain approval from Quality Control before proceeding.
  • Perform adjustments on machines and/or programs as needed, based upon results of first‑piece inspections.
  • Produce parts on saw equipment according to specifications and within acceptable production requirements.
  • Unload and package parts according to EIMCo standards and customer requirements.
  • Complete accurate daily records (date, times, quantities of parts ran, and scrap) for every job worked on, on Shop Travelers and in the ERP system.
  • Follow instructions from all EIMCo documentation, including:
    Shop Traveler, Inspection Sheets, and blueprints.
  • Receive raw materials and follow proper receiving procedures, as outlined in the EIMCo Quality Manual.
  • Unload received raw materials, utilizing material handling equipment, and place in proper locations.
  • Inform quality control, shift supervisor/lead person of any problems or concerns with parts.
  • Accept responsibility for the quality of products/services provided and perform all required inspections in accordance with the EIMCo Quality Manual.
  • Perform required preventive maintenance on equipment, watch and listen for abnormal conditions, and report any concerns to maintenance and/or shift supervisor/lead immediately.
  • Maintain assigned work area in a clean and orderly manner and comply with all 5S procedures.
  • Conduct all tasks and behaviors in a safe manner and comply with all EIMCO Safety Policies, including the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, as outlined in the EIMCo Safety Manual.
  • Maintain all required documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Mechanical background and machine operating experience are helpful
  • A willingness to learn and be trained on the EIMCo manufacturing process
  • General skills with hand and power tools
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced environment
  • Problem‑solving and attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask on a wide variety of projects
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to routinely bend and squat
  • Ability to routinely climb stairs, ladders, or platforms
  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to repetitively grasp
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of industrial or manufacturing experience preferred. Formal education or experience may be substituted with training when competency in the position is demonstrated.

Working Conditions

This is a safety sensitive position. This work is performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment processes. This position requires the use of personal protective equipment for safety compliance and may include overtime as deemed necessary by management.
