What we are looking for:The Welder is responsible for using hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
What you’ll be responsible for in this role:- Read and follow written and verbal communication or instruction
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straight edges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment
- Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing situations
- Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling
- Work at different workstations as production needs require
- Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
- Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Demonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devices
- Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instruction
- Occasionally – Sitting, Walking, Stooping/Twisting, Kneeling, Squatting, Pushing/Pulling, Reaching, Visual Acuity (Near/Far), and Lift/Carry up to 50lbs
- Frequently – Standing, Foot Use, and Lift/Carry up to 25lbs
- Constantly – Gripping
* Occasionally – Occurs up to 1/3 of the time
* Frequently – Occurs 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
* Constantly – Occurs 2/3 or more of the time
