Trillium Staffing is now seeking CNC Machinists and Operators for work in the Eldridge, IA area!
Schedule will be 2nd or 3rd shift.
Pay rates are as follows:
-CNC Operator/Machinist Level I:
Operates CNC Machines, pay up to $24/hr
-CNC Machinist Level II:
Operates and performs adjustments on CNC Machines, pay up to $24/hr
-CNC Machinist Level III:
Performs operations, set ups and programming on CNC Machines, pay is $25+/hr
The CNC Operator reports directly to the Production Shift Supervisor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-Production:
Operate CNC machining centers to produce high-precision components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
-Quality Control:
Perform self-inspections of parts to ensure all specifications are met; follow non-conforming material processes when parts fall outside of tolerances.
-Documentation:
Maintain accurate production and quality logs, documenting actions, irregularities, and shift-to-shift communication.
-Maintenance:
Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting according to manufacturer instructions; notify supervision of any mechanical malfunctions.
-Verification:
Verify machine settings and communicate clearly with supervisors when adjustments are required.
-Shop Stewardship:
Maintain a clean and organized workstation following 5S lean manufacturing standards.
- Collaboration:
Assist in training other Level I operators as needed and support the team with general repairs or replacement work.

Job Requirements
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED required;
Trade School or Vocational certification preferred.
- Experience:
Previous machining experience or a completed certification from an accredited trade school is highly preferred.
-Technical
Skills:
* Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
-Basic knowledge of machining processes (drilling, milling, turning).
-Ability to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height stands) to .001 accuracy.
-Ability to learn and perform tool offset adjustments to correct feature discrepancies.
-Basic understanding of cutting tools and the ability to judge tool wear.
-Familiarity with Mazak equipment and a willingness to learn M and G code is a significant plus.
-Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
-Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently.
