$1.50 for all hours worked on 2nd or 3rd shift

Job Summary

The Spotter is responsible for spotting trailers in and out of the shipping dock area for loading and unloading of product. The Spotter is also responsible for operating equipment in a safe manner.

Key Responsibilities

* Operate yard truck or semi-tractor trailers to spot trailers as needed into the shipping dock area.

* Ensure product is safely secured on trailer.

* Checking vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.

* Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crews and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.

* Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status following applicable state and federal regulations

* Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.

* Operate equipment in a safe manner.

* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

* Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

* Certification:
Must have a valid driver's license. Must have an acceptable driving record as noted in a motor vehicle report.

* Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in a related position is preferred.

* Skills:

Must be able to work independently without constant supervision. Must have good customer service skills. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Ability to problem solve. Must be able to work with other departments and follow all food safety guidelines and HACCP requirements.

* Age:
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

* Authorization:
Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsor ships are available.

* Education:

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

* Flexibility:
Must be able to work weekends as needed. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

* Compliance:
Must practice good personal hygiene. Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, physical and E-Verify.
