This role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and can confidently oversee operations during weekend shifts with minimal management oversight.
As the Shift Supervisor, you will lead production operations across fabrication, CNC machining, welding, and assembly areas while ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are achieved.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Friday through Sunday, 12-hour shifts
- Paid for 40 hours per week
- Shift differential offered in addition to base pay for weekend scheduling
Including but not limited to:
- Supervise and lead weekend shift production employees across fabrication, CNC machining, welding, and assembly operations.
- Manage workflow, staffing, and equipment utilization to achieve daily and weekly production goals.
- Monitor product quality and address non-conformances, escalating concerns when necessary.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures, conduct safety observations, and respond to incidents or near-misses.
- Serve as the primary on-site leader and decision-maker during weekend operations.
- Communicate shift performance, production issues, and operational status through detailed shift reports.
- Coordinate production priorities and scheduling to support on-time customer deliveries.
- Hold team members accountable for attendance, performance, and workplace conduct.
- Partner with maintenance personnel to address equipment issues and minimize downtime.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Train and mentor employees on equipment operation, work procedures, and quality expectations.
- Ensure accurate timekeeping and attendance records for shift personnel.
- Conduct pre-shift and post-shift meetings to communicate priorities, safety topics, and performance updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, direct, and develop production teams.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions without direct management oversight.

- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and respond to production challenges.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
- Experience supervising employees in a manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or related production environment preferred.
- Familiarity with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, or similar manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, routers, work orders, and work instructions.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working with MRP/ERP systems for production tracking and scheduling is preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements and general manufacturing safety practices.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic computer skills for data entry, time approval, and production reporting.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or CNC machining environment.
- 1-3 years of supervisory or team lead experience in a production setting strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage operations during off-shift hours.
- Active manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and varying shop conditions.
- Regular standing, walking, and movement throughout the facility during 12-hour shifts.
- Frequent communication with employees in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to handle tools, equipment, and production materials.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear.
- Reliable attendance and availability for all scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts.
- Flexibility to adjust schedule occasionally to support operational needs or coordinate with weekday leadership.
