The Role at a GlanceContinuous Improvement Specialist will direct process improvement activities to achieve business objectives. Provide support, guidance, and action to drive lean behaviors, targeting elimination of waste and variation from manufacturing and business processes to achieve cost savings.

Responsibilities- Work closely with CI leadership and site leadership to establish and implement lean manufacturing concepts.
- Provide coaching and mentoring on project management skills, team facilitation, and project execution to deliver cost savings.
- Collaborate with area managers/supervisors to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain business performance measures and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and deliver presentations and basic training courses on process improvement.
- Ensure operational activities adhere to lean standards—including material flow, set‑up reduction, 6S, workplace organization, communication cells, TPM, etc.
- Establish a program to develop and maintain standard operating procedures for existing processes.
- Support development and use of key manufacturing systems (MES, ERP, CMMS, production labeling software, BI reports).
- Monitor and inspect project quality, ensuring that improvements are sustained through KPI measurements and dashboards.
- Share responsibility for self‑development with immediate supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bilingual communication skills preferred (English/Spanish).
- Four‑year college degree or equivalent business experience required.
- Ability to prioritize, follow through, and quickly develop in‑depth knowledge of company processes.
- Strong working knowledge and experience in CI strategies, and ability to train others in these tools.
- Advanced skills using data management tools to monitor progress toward goals.
- Self‑starter, detail‑oriented, highly motivated, and organized.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred.
- 25% domestic travel required; ability to work flexible hours for a multi‑shift operation.
- Day Shift – Flexible Schedule.
- Work hours primarily during the day with flexibility in start and end times.
- Shifts may extend up to 10–12 hours depending on project demands or priorities.
- Daily schedules may vary due to meetings, process improvement initiatives, data analysis, or cross‑functional collaboration.
