Overview
Join our team of Assemblers at McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of refuse truck bodies. As an assembler, you will operate, program, and maintain CNC machines and other fabrication equipment to produce parts that meet quality and tolerance specifications.
Responsibilities- Operate a variety of CNC machines including laser cutting, plasma cutting, shear cutting, rolling, press brakes, saws, and punches.
- Read drawings and specifications to ensure parts are produced within tolerance using measuring devices such as calipers, protractors, tape measures.
- Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Use hand tools including wrenches, hammers, prybars, grinders, magnets, pliers.
- Operate lifting devices such as vac lift, overhead, gantry, and jib cranes while handling material weights up to 10,000 lbs.
- Maintain company quality and safety standards while operating equipment.
- Six months of applicable experience or evaluated equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand general tools used in fabrication such as tape measure, protractor, calipers.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Operational knowledge of CNC cutting machines, press brakes, drills, and saws.
- Enjoy working in a team environment.
- Ability to run one machine in fabrication proficiently with little to no quality defects.
- Competitive starting pay: $19.00 - $25.48 based on experience.
- Shift differential for 2nd shift.
