Job Overview

Machine Operator (Power Frame) – Red Oak, IA – Components Plant.

Pay: $23.58 per hour with incentive pay based on production, additional $4.20 after 60–90 days. Night shift premium adds $1, bringing average pay to $26.50. Potential bonus up to 5% of plant performance. Pay is bi‑weekly (Friday). 12‑hour shifts on a 2‑2‑3 rotating schedule:
Day shifts A & C (7:00AM–7:00PM) and night shifts B & D (7:00PM–7:00AM).

Responsibilities
  • Operate casting, rolling mill, press, and lead pot equipment to produce Power Frame® grids
  • Monitor key parameters such as temperature, flow, speed, and product dimensions
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and product changeovers
  • Inspect equipment and parts for quality, ensuring conformance to specifications
  • Assist maintenance with equipment PMs, repairs, and troubleshooting
  • Handle lead safely, following all environmental and safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, hazardous materials handling)
  • Train and support new operators to ensure safe, efficient performance
  • Document production data and quality checks accurately
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred (not required)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer, math, reading, and writing skills
  • Comfortable working 12‑hour shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 40lbs
  • Comfortable working in a hot, industrial environment
  • Must be able to wear required PPE, including respirator when applicable
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
