Welder - 2nd Shift

McNeilus, an Oshkosh Company, is a leading designer and manufacturer of refuse truck bodies. We serve everyday heroes by building high-performance rear-load, front-load, and automated side-load refuse bodies to support waste collection fleets.

We are seeking Welders in our Riceville, IA production facility to heat, form, and weld metal parts. The role involves using hand tools, torch, plasma cutter/carbon arc or other welding equipment; positioning materials; operating an overhead crane; adjusting welding current; operating measuring devices; maintaining a safe and clean work environment; and training/working in various areas of production as needed.

• Heat and form metal parts and components using hand tools, torch, plasma cutter/carbon arc or other welding equipment.
• Properly position material/parts for welding and execute weld joints.
• Operate an overhead crane to maneuver parts safely into place.
• Adjust welding current to proper configurations for the weld type.
• Read and accurately operate measuring devices.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment following safety procedures, rules, and 6S standards.
• Work in various production areas and train as required to respond to production demands.

• Passed weld test either through pre‑employment test or internal weld program.
• Ability to start and run a welder independently.
• Demonstrated ability to perform job tasks within
