Precision of New Hampton is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. This position will design, develop and support products through the product life cycle, from concept, through production and customer support. The Engineer will be responsible for developing the appropriate tools, controls, equipment, fixtures and processes used in manufacturing of new products.
Job Responsibilities- Design 3D models for torque converters, transmission components, machinery, and production equipment.
- Provide engineering expertise to develop innovative solutions for improving the manufacturing processes of Precision of New Hampton torque converters and transmission parts.
- Install, service, calibrate, and update electro‑mechanical production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect, test, and verify the quality of torque converters and transmission components, ensuring compliance with PNH standards.
- Identify and resolve electro‑mechanical equipment failures through preventive and corrective measures.
- Evaluate machinery performance and troubleshoot electro‑mechanical issues to maintain smooth operations.
- Program and operate CNC machines, milling machines, and lathes to produce high‑precision parts.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure production equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with operational standards.
- Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance logs for all equipment.
- Set up machinery for various parts production runs to meet manufacturing requirements.
- Analyze KPI monitoring systems to identify opportunities for operational improvements and waste reduction.
- Collaborate with production engineers and management to address daily operational challenges, optimize expenses, and reduce production costs.
- Provide manufacturing insights by calculating and analyzing production, labor, and material costs to support decision‑making.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 6 months of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Pay Range: $60,000 - $80,000
