Job Overview
This position will perform troubleshooting and repair and provide technical support for all phases of the operation. It is a technical career position at Tyson Foods, Inc. The role requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters, including electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of management and operations.
Responsibilities• Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Provide technical support and maintenance for production equipment.
• Collaborate with management and operations to ensure continuous improvement and safety compliance.
- Education and Experience
Training beyond high school, such as an Associate Degree in Electronic Technology or a related technical field, is preferred. A combination of education and experience, including skilled trade programs, military training, or other relevant training, is acceptable. - Computer Skills
Competent with Windows-based software such as Outlook, Excel, and Word. Proficient or able to become proficient in SAP Plant Maintenance. - Communication Skills
Strong verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities. - Certification
Certifications in any technical field or techniques are a plus. - Special Skills
Good safety and attendance record; strong interpersonal skills; knowledge of AC/DC circuits, industrial electrical systems, electrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures; understanding of electronic devices such as industrial semi‑conductors and solid‑state drives; PLC operation and instrumentation; mechanical maintenance skills for bearings, gears, clutches, belts, and seals; ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems. - Preferred Skills
• Basic microcomputer skills related to microprocessor operation.
• PLC operation, including system configuration, programming, data handling, and advanced commands.
• Experience with electronic motor drive technologies, such as servo motors, encoders, tachometers, brakes and clutches, closed‑loop systems, DC servo, AC variable frequency, AC servo, and stepper systems. - Travel
Minimum 1–5 trips per year outside of the assigned location.
Shift A: 4:30 AM – 2:00 PM (United States of America)
