Onsite role in Chem Treat facility in Eldridge, IA.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, Day Shift. Overtime or weekends may be required.
- Prepare paperwork for bulk loads, including assigning trailer compartments and completing driver paperwork for offloading at customer sites. Close bulk sales orders and provide copies of the bills of lading to accounts receiving.
- Serve as backup to the receiving clerk responsible for incoming bulk and LTL raw materials and related paperwork and computer entries. Train incoming drivers on preparing bulk trailers to load and operating forklift for potential new hires.
- Assign trailer compartments for bulk loads within maximum axle weight limits. Prepare bulk load paperwork for production, bulk loader, QC, and driver, including Certificate of Analysis requests, NSF stamp, and any other customer requests. Distribute paperwork to the appropriate plant departments.
- Prepare barcodes and seals for each compartment and transfer information to the BOLs. Print BOLs, fact sheets, Cof As, and other customer-specific documents for driver packets. Close sales orders and distribute copies of BOLs to accounts receiving.
- Maintain and use the Warehouse Management System to put away finished goods (FG) and raw materials (RM).
- Support backup bulk loading and receiving/shipping as needed, including paper and computer entries.
- Verify purchase orders (POs) with product lot numbers and prepare paperwork for QC. Track wastewater on hand and schedule pickups with vendors as needed.
- Train yard drivers on completing pre-inspections, tagging and placarding bulk trailers prior to production loading.
- Ensure housekeeping and 5S in related areas. Handle container labeling and reloading of production printer labels and barcode paper as required.
- Maintain general housekeeping to ensure a neat, safe, and clean work area.
- Maintain environmental, health and safety documentation in relation to EPA compliance, OSHA requirements, and Chem Treat policies.
- Follow EHS procedures and policies, including proper handling of hazardous waste and filing incident reports for work-related incidents and near misses.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience with applicable paperwork.
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and basic mathematics.
- Knowledge of EPA compliance and OSHA requirements.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Technical, analytical skills and business knowledge.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Routinely required to walk, stand, sit, climb (including stairs and industrial vehicles), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, squat/crouch, turn/twist, crawl, talk, hear, and smell; capable of using hands to reach, grip, and operate objects and devices. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 55 pounds without assistance.
