Role SummaryA General Maintenance Employee in Cresco, IA, inspects, repairs, and replaces parts and equipment as necessary. The role requires the use of hand tools, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills to safely and quickly provide maintenance and repair services for the plant and operations.
Shift and Pay2nd shift hours: 2pm–10pm, Monday through Friday;
Saturdays as needed (noon–6pm). Starting pay: $27.05/hr (effective 7/1 – $25.55 base + $1.50 shift differential).

Role Responsibilities- Complete repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting to support the site.
- Work directly with maintenance personnel and line supervisors as a service provider to operations and the plant.
- Provide a combination of emergent, planned, and preventative maintenance, including installation and equipment upgrades.
- Communicate with all staff and hourly employees as required.
- Escalate concerns appropriately.
- Champion safe work and oversee authorization of Lock‑Out, Troubleshooting, and safe work procedures.
- May provide contractor/vendor management, safety training, or serve as an escort for required contract work.
- Comply with all DOT, HAZMAT, Donaldson Safety, and Environmental policies/laws/rules and company codes of conduct and procedures.
- Perform a variety of tasks safely in a fast‑paced, industrial environment.
- Demonstrate high levels of troubleshooting, problem‐solving, and escalation to resolve issues quickly.
- Interact constructively with all plant employees while following company policies and procedures.
- Maintain good attendance, conduct, and performance records.
- Work non‑traditional shifts and weekends if required.
- Collaborate, train, and lead in a team environment toward a common goal.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organize and prioritize daily tasks amid competing priorities.
- Drive success in Quality, Safety, Performance, and Goal attainment.
- Basic computer and math proficiency and demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Complete initial and ongoing training and certifications as required by the site.
- Work with motorized vehicles, rotating equipment, and production lines.
- Lift/carry up to 25lbs frequently, 50lbs occasionally; stand for long periods and navigate equipment repair involving stooping, twisting, bending, and kneeling.
