As an Automotive Technician at Maintainer Corporation of Iowa (MCI), your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the hydraulic system in our chassis department. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience as a hydraulic technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or certification in hydraulic technology or a related field.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in the automotive or heavy equipment sector.
- Familiarity with chassis hydraulic systems and their specific requirements.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
- Install and wire hydraulic components in chassis according to engineering specifications and diagrams.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential failures.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to develop and implement improvements in hydraulic system design and installation processes.
- Document all hydraulic work performed, including repairs, modifications, and upgrades, in accordance with company procedures.
