Job Summary:
This CNC Material Handler position is responsible for handling all incoming and outgoing materials used in CNC production of machined parts, along with saw cutting raw stock to spec, laser marking parts, running machines to finish parts to the desired visual standard, and packaging finished parts to ship out. The role keeps parts moving from raw stock to finished, shippable product while supporting inventory accuracy and material flow.
Essential Functions
- Utilize ERP systems for transactions including receipts, transfers, material movements and job issuance
- Perform accurate cycle counting to maintain inventory integrity and support audit readiness
- Support overall inventory management including tracking, reconciliation and discrepancy resolution
- Operate a saw to cut raw stock to size per print and job requirements
- Operate laser marking equipment to mark parts accurately per work instructions and print requirements
- Operate machines to finish parts to defined visual and quality standards
- Package finished parts for shipment, ensuring proper protection, labeling and documentation for outgoing orders
- Maintain organized, clean and efficient work areas
- Collaborate with production, planning and purchasing teams to ensure material availability
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to materials handling and inventory accuracy
- Follow all safety regulations and practices safety awareness at all times
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to operate industrial equipment, including saws, fork trucks, deburring machines, finishing machines and laser marking systems
- Ability to inspect parts against visual quality standards with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to stand for long periods up-to-eight or more hours at a time
- Must be able to reach above head and lift up to 50 lbs
- Proven ability to have a high level of attention to detail
Required Qualifications
- Must be a US Person (US Citizen, person granted US Permanent Resident Card or any individual who is granted status as a "protected person")
- High school diploma or equivalent
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to the production floor, saws, CNC machines, and laser marking and packaging areas. May require lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods during cutting, machine operation, finishing, laser marking, and packaging tasks.
