What You'll Do

As a Manufacturing Engineer I, you will work under the guidance of senior manufacturing engineers and the Manufacturing Engineering Manager to support both engineering and the production shop floor — identifying and executing continuous improvement activities and providing support for product and process development.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Applying working knowledge of manufacturing operations, material consumption and movement, and manufacturing methods to craft precise and accurate methods of manufacturing
  • Ensuring product quality by developing testing and assurance methods and defining them within the ERP bill of operations
  • Documenting, designing, developing, and implementing or recommending production tooling and machinery to support manufacturing efficiency improvements or new production processes
  • Providing detailed review and costing of manufacturing requirements as assigned to project efforts and requests
  • Documenting, reviewing, and completing EWRs and ECOs through the manufacturing engineering process as assigned
  • Creating, loading, updating, and facilitating MOM/BOM updates in Kinetic derived from ECOs or document markups, either directly or through CADlink
  • Assisting product design in the creation and facilitation of the First Article process including documentation and processing
  • Engaging project engineering to ensure products have detailed test plans that align with quality and performance requirements for production
  • Reviewing, creating, and updating production work instructions and supporting documentation
  • Participating in production and engineering departmental studies and process improvements
  • Frequently reviewing assigned manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for enhanced OEE
  • Documenting and participating in implementation of continuous improvement opportunities related to safety, quality, service, cost, and efficiency
