Assembly Technician
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will assemble components and finished products using hand and power tools while following work instructions displayed on a computer. Candidates should be comfortable performing repetitive tasks, working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble mechanical components and finished products according to work instructions and specifications.
- Lift and position parts weighing up to 50 lbs onto the assembly line.
- Utilize a hoist or lifting equipment for heavier components when needed.
- Follow step-by-step assembly instructions displayed on a computer screen.
- Operate hand and power tools, including air rivet guns, battery-powered drills, and other assembly equipment.
- Inspect work to ensure quality standards and production requirements are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or general labor environments preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Experience working in warehouse or manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes and production equipment.

Available
Shifts:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Breaks:
- Two paid 15-minute breaks
- One 30-minute unpaid lunch
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hiawatha, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.
