Assembler
The Assembler plays a key role in producing high-quality aluminum composite panels used on the exterior of commercial buildings. You work closely with an assembly lead to learn the process, then independently assemble and route panels using basic hand and power tools. This is a hands‑on, physically active position in a clean, climate‑controlled production environment.
Responsibilities- Work closely with an assembly lead to learn daily tasks, processes, and quality standards before transitioning to more independent work.
- Lay out assigned jobs for the day once trained, ensuring materials, tools, and measurements are prepared for efficient assembly.
- Use basic hand tools, including pop rivet tools and hand drills, to assemble aluminum composite panels according to specifications.
- Measure materials accurately with a tape measure and, when needed, micrometers, following all training and guidelines.
- Fold and rivet excursions and other panel components, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and structural integrity.
- Route full sheets of aluminum composite material (ACM) to precise measurements so that panels are ready for assembly.
- Lift and maneuver large ACM sheets (up to approximately 16 feet by 4.5 feet) safely as part of the routing and assembly process.
- Follow production and assembly line procedures to meet daily and monthly panel output targets.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints or production drawings to complete assemblies correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, equipment, and materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of tools and personal protective equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and leads to resolve issues, improve processes, and support overall production goals.
- Communicate any equipment, material, or quality concerns promptly to appropriate personnel.
- Ability to lift and safely handle materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Comfort working in a physical, hands‑on production and assembly environment.
- Experience or aptitude using basic hand tools such as pop rivet tools and hand drills.
- Ability to use a tape measure accurately and follow measurement instructions.
- Willingness to learn use of micrometers and other measuring tools as needed.
- Capability to work with large aluminum composite material sheets and perform routing tasks.
- Basic understanding of assembly, production, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to follow blueprints or production drawings with attention to detail.
- Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance and meeting scheduled hours.
- Strong focus on safety and ability to follow established safety procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in assembly, production, manufacturing, or general labor roles.
- Familiarity with assembly line work and meeting production targets.
- Comfort using power tools in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work both under guidance from a lead and independently once trained.
- Willingness to work minimal weekend hours when required.
- Flexibility to adjust start or end times within first‑shift hours as needed.
