Responsibilities for the Slaughter Food Safety Technician position include but are not limited to:

• Food Safety Technicians are responsible for monitoring carcasses and the processing aids used in the slaughter process.
• Checking spray nozzle patterns, titrating organic acids, visual inspections of product, monitoring sanitary dressing, and speaking with production personnel.
• Assisting with sampling and performing pre-operational environmental inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.

This is a safety sensitive position. This is not a remote position.

The ideal candidate for the Slaughter Food Safety Technician position should possess the following:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A knowledge of HACCP Process (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
• Experience with email communications.
• Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Beef products knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to withstand extreme hot/cold environments.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

This is an hourly, management support position. Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
