Assembly Technician

The Assembly Technician will be responsible for lifting parts up to 50lbs onto an assembly line. In cases where the parts exceed this weight, a small hoist is available for assistance. The role involves using a computer screen to determine the next step in the assembly process and operating basic hand tools to assemble products. The tasks can be repetitive, requiring precision and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Lift parts up to 50lbs onto the assembly line.
• Use a small hoist for lifting heavier products.
• Monitor a computer screen to follow assembly steps.
• Operate basic hand tools such as air rivet guns and battery-powered drills.
• Perform mechanical assembly tasks.
• Ensure production tasks are completed accurately.

Essential

Skills:

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Mechanical aptitude and general labor skills.
• Experience in manufacturing and assembly environments.

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations.

Work Environment:

The work environment offers flexible shift options with openings on the 1st shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm and the 3rd shift from 10 pm to 6 am. Employees receive two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. There is voluntary overtime available, allowing 1st shift to extend their hours before or after their regular shift, and 3rd shift to extend after their shift.

Employees can choose to eat during breaks to leave earlier if preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hiawatha, IA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
