Overview
Packaging Operators work closely with the Packaging Supervisor and Plant Operations Manager to ensure that seed packages are labeled legibly and accurately according to customer instructions.
Responsibilities- Perform work activities safely
- Apply appropriate tags and/or labels to seed packages
- Maintain accurate bagged seed inventory counts
- Lift and stack materials up to 65 lbs.
- Stand to fill and close packaged product for extended periods
- Pass forklift training and receive operator certificate
- Safely climb stairs and/or ladders to monitor and adjust equipment
- Thoroughly clean all equipment to maintain product integrity
- Assist with implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
- Agricultural background is beneficial
- Computer skills beneficial, advanced skills preferred
- Understanding of seed production is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude
- Employee team building skills
- Attentive to detail and accuracy
- Well organized
- Show up on time and be dependable
