McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of refuse truck bodies, supporting waste warriors and helping build communities.

We are seeking Welders for our Riceville, IA production facility. Starting pay is $21 – $28.34 per hour, based on experience.

Location:

Riceville, IA.

• Heat and form metal parts and components using hand tools, torch, plasma cutter/carbon arc or other welding equipment.
• Properly position material and parts to be welded.
• Operate an overhead crane to maneuver parts safely into place and adjust welding current to proper configurations.
• Accurately operate and read measuring devices.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and 6S standards.
• Train and work in various areas of production to meet production demands.

• Passed a weld test either through a pre‑employment test or an internal weld program.
• Ability to start and run a welder.
• Effectively perform tasks within one station with little to no quality defects or guidance.
• Willingness to learn and adjust your own wire settings.

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of applicable position experience.
• Understanding of quality defects within weld‑on products.
• Ability to read and use measuring devices.
