Role Overview

Production Coordinator – Hull, Iowa

The Production Coordinator works with the Planning and Distribution Manager to support production and supply chain activities. Responsibilities include managing process orders in the SAP system, ensuring accurate transaction of materials, and maintaining system integrity.

• Assist the Planning and Distribution Manager under supervision.
• Gather, track, review, and close process orders in SAP.
• Research and resolve process order discrepancies.
• Confirm accuracy of lot and quantity information for material transactions.
• Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Serve as liaison between quality and production departments to monitor out‑of‑spec production and obtain rechecks.
• Conduct daily checks to reconcile Health Units between MES and SAP.
• Assist with Inventory Control, including historical counts and end‑of‑month inventory of finished and semi‑finished goods.
• Support production process improvements and updates.
• Analyze situations, report findings, and communicate proactively with team members.
• Participate in daily communication with the Planning and Distribution Manager to ensure information is shared in control tower meetings.
• Act as a backup for Production Schedulers when optimizing schedules and releasing process orders.
• Assist with EWM tasks, carrier check‑ins, and printing of delivery notes for inbound shipments when required.
• Operate and train others on SAP, MES, and RF gun systems.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Hull, Iowa – plant home to approximately 180 employees producing various cheese varieties and whey streams.
