Paint Operator 1st Shift

Job Summary

As a paint operator you will be responsible for painting, sanding, cleaning, and preparing parts for painting, as part of the Composite Technician team.

• Painting parts to customer specifications
• Cleaning and maintaining painting equipment and area
• Sanding, cleaning, and preparing parts for painting
• Masking non-painted surfaces
• Mixing paint
• Operating automated downdraft spray booth, paint application equipment, and fresh air systems

• Knowledge of applying adhesives, fillers and primers
• Familiarity with mixing ratios
• Ability to use basic paint prep tools, including sanders
• Ability to comprehend and follow written specifications
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Excellent hand dexterity and coordination
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment
• Effective oral and written communication skills
