Location: Milford

Position Summary

Set‑up and maintain line equipment, monitor the process, direct, facilitate and assist production line personnel with the preparation and packaging products ensuring all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety and quality standards are met and maintain the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Position

Responsibilities
  • Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork, verify ingredients/supplies/packaging and prepare for operations.
  • Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
  • Set‑up/assemble line equipment in accordance with the work order, perform metal detector checks and start up the line.
  • Monitor the process, complete quality checks, change label rolls, check packaging and finished cases as required.
  • Troubleshoot problems, make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment, change harp assemblies and blades, as needed.
  • Facilitate production, maintain the scale area, assist with line supply and assist line personnel (un‑box/reduction/palletize).
  • At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education and/or

    Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Communication/Language

    Skills:

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend documents, simple instructions and product labels.
  • Certifications:

    Electric pallet jack and HACCP certification preferred.
  • Mathematical

    Skills:

    Perform basic math functions with the ability to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Reasoning Abilities:
    Interpret extensive technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Strong analytical skills with ability to identify opportunities.
Physical
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch and use hands to grip regularly.
  • Requires frequent exposure to extreme cold (below 0°F temperatures).
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined.
Personal Competencies
  • Extreme attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be flexible to work days, nights or weekends if necessary.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet be flexible and able to work in a team environment.
Safety

Must adhere to all safety rules, policies and regulations in relationship to OSHA standards. Maintain and follow GMP, HACCP, SFQ, OSHA and OLM Food Solutions standards to include safe work practices.
