Head Brewer

Worth Brewing Company in Northwood, Iowa is seeking a head brewer. This exciting opportunity is available to the right individual. Experience is preferred but not required. Worth Brewing operates a state-of-the-art 7-barrel Brewhouse that is a pleasure to operate. Full training will be provided by the current brewer, who is retiring later this year. This is an ideal position for someone seeking a second job with flexibility.

A full-time position may be available depending on the candidate's abilities and interests.

Position Available:

Worth Brewing Company Head Brewer

• The Head Brewer has total oversight in planning and designing beer styles and recipes, maintaining a principal and substitute vendors list, raw material ordering, material storage and record keeping, brewing and cellar work, packaging and record keeping, equipment acquisition and maintenance, quality control and safety assurance.
• The brewer may also be exprected to help with wholesale sales and outside promotion (festivals, events, accounts for promotion).
• Non-brewing tap cleaning, keg rotation and manangement.

• Full or Part time.
• 2-3 days a week.
• Brewer gets to set the schedule for flexiblity.
• Depending on applicant, we can offer upto 40 hours a week.

• Must be 21 years old or above, be able to lift 60 lbs sacks and work on feet for several hours.
• To go up and down stairs.
• Previous manufacturing/brewing experience is a plus but we are willing to train inexperienced brewers.
