Purpose Statement
To support the goals and vision of Gemini Incorporated by leading assigned production operations to deliver safe, quality, delivery and cost. This role is responsible for daily shop floor execution, team leadership, labor planning, production flow, material readiness, equipment reliability, cost control, member development, and continuous improvement while reinforcing Gemini’s culture, values, and accountability expectations.

- Provides hands‑on daily leadership for assigned production areas, including work direction, prioritization, staffing, shift readiness, schedule execution, and timely escalation of barriers that impact safety, quality, delivery, or cost.
- Owns daily production performance by monitoring output, labor efficiency, downtime, scrap, rework, material availability, schedule attainment, and other key performance indicators; uses data to identify gaps and drive corrective action.
- Leads daily start‑up meetings, Gemba walks, visual management reviews, shift handoffs, and follow‑up routines to ensure alignment, communication, accountability, and clear ownership of action items.
- Plans, assigns, and adjusts work to meet customer requirements, production schedules, staffing levels, capacity constraints, material availability, and equipment conditions.
- Manages material flow and Kanban discipline to ensure reliable material availability, minimize shortages, reduce excess handling, and support uninterrupted production.
- Models and enforces safety and environmental expectations, including regulatory compliance, incident prevention, hazard identification, near‑miss reporting, corrective actions, and active participation in safety improvement activities.
- Ensures product quality by reinforcing standard work, inspection requirements, process controls, documentation accuracy, containment actions, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions for internal or customer quality issues.
- Drives continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing practices, visual controls, 5S, standard work, waste reduction, problem solving, process stability, and participation in improvement events.
- Reviews production performance against operating plans and forecasts, including use and development of capacity models, to support customer service levels and resource planning.
- Provides leadership regarding employee relations and member development through effective communication, coaching, training, cross‑training, performance feedback, attendance management, and follow‑up on action plans from feedback meetings.
- Actively develops people to take on greater responsibility, including completing annual performance reviews, informal midyear reviews, skill development plans, and succession support for key production roles.
- Supports new employee orientation, onboarding, job qualification, and training verification to ensure new employees are welcomed, prepared, and productive.
