Location: Red OakPosition Summary
This Team Lead role reports directly to the Process Engineer. The lead assists leadership with daily activities regarding safety to ensure that the plant is meeting safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. The Lead communicates daily, weekly, and monthly requirements and expectations within the facility. The Lead will be involved in most operational safety aspects of all shifts. They will provide valuable feedback to Supervisors and Managers regarding performance of the safety program and engagement of employees within the facility.
Responsibilities
1. Champion safety program(s) to promote a safety-first culture at the plant2. Create, revise, and update safety material3. Gather data by reading machine equipment, gages, prints and precision measuring instruments to serve safety mission4. Maintain all record keeping associated with safety program(s)5. Communicate safety progress with plant leadership6. Oversee the safety orientation program7. Coach employees and give feedback as needed regarding safety8. Lead a safety HPT9. Occasional travel required for additional training and/or best-practice sharing10. Flexible schedule with all shifts weekly, and as needed11. Help execute the site safety plan with attention to OSHA-compliance12. Perform tasks as assigned by leadership13. Able to foster professionalism with all associates along with internal and external customers14. Ability to work overtime, including short-notice overtime and weekend coverage to meet business needs.DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ NON

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately.Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.Maintain production schedules.Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.Other duties may be assigned later.Qualifications Education required/ preferred:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience:3- 5 years’ management or supervisory experience.

- Experience with LEAN teams or leading LEAN teams is preferred
