As a rebar fabricator, your responsibilities include manufacturing steel rebar for building construction projects by cutting, bending, tying, and performing other processes to meet project materials specifications. You read technical drawings to identify the requested size of the rebar, cut pieces with a rebar cutter, bend to the specified angles and dimensions using rebar bender machinery, and ensure pieces meet quality control standards by remeasuring.
Other duties include following and reinforcing established operations safety procedures and guidelines, delivering completed parts to production areas, and cleaning work spaces.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- High school diploma, GED or local/state equivalent.
- Must have basic math skills to be able to calculate bar measurements.
- Manufacturing environment or directly related experience.
- Some heavy lifting may be necessary.
- Working conditions can be noisy, dusty, hot or cold.
